Savannah makes case for trail funding

Savannah Mayor Van Johnson made the case to Gov. Brian Kemp in Atlanta on Thursday, Jan. 30, to reinstate a grant to build a nearly 2-mile stretch of the multi-use Truman Linear Park Trail. “I met with the governor this morning and requested his support for the restoration of or to minimize the loss of the $3 million which is absolutely critical to this project moving forward,” Johnson wrote in a text message.
